However, when I try to open the.ARW file I get a 'Photoshop cannot open this file' window. I am using a Sony A6000, which should be supported for RAW files ( Cameras supported by Camera Raw ). I recently purchased photoshop CS6 for Mac.

Portable and quite light- fits in my bag next to my laptop. It works well as a screen on which to put palettes while using the main screen for actual work. The colors cannot be adjusted (calibration is not possible) and are not great. At my office I can use a secondary display through the Thunderbolt port and this Aoc display as a third screen. The screen then functions just like a second monitor through the USB port.

My laptop's 3.0 USB drivers had to be updated, but the monitor's install software notified me of the driver issue. Next, the purchase price was $ less than my previous attempt to purchase this item. That beat out the reseller I tried to purchase this monitor from who said that they had shipped when in fact they were out-of-stock. I have read other reviews that say they always need to use both USB jacks for adequate power, and I would estimate I have only had to do this about 5% of the time.

On initial set up, it wasn't exactly plug and play - I had to uninstall some other drivers I wasn't using that conflicted (and the help I was pointed to described how to do this well).
I love the portability of it and how easy it is to get going. I mainly use an extended display so I can see multiple applications at once, although the other day when a projector failed during a meeting, I was able to easily convert it into a (small) display for a group to see (sweet!). Nice case too fits right in my bag with my machine. This fits the bill and is a great compliment to my primary laptop screen. I didnt want a power adapter to add to the mix. Yes it will power up from the primary USB plug and nothing else. Never used two? Truy a time saver and you will not go back. I use mine for financial pursuits, and anytime I need to look at data from one program and comparing or cut and paste to another allowing both windows to stay in sight.
